What a wonderful day we had celebrating Toogoom Seniors Day, on the 13th October 2025,with around 120 people attending! The hall was filled with laughter, music, and great company as our community came together to honour our seniors and enjoy the day.
A big thank you to the Burrum Heads Ukulele Group for their lively and entertaining performance — everyone agreed they were fantastic!
We’d also like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who supported the raffles and to the more than 10 community members who volunteered their time to help with setting up, serving, and cleaning up. A special thank you goes to Meg Chalker, Jenny Andrewartha, and their husbands for their hard work and enthusiasm.
Our thanks also go to Leisa Emblem for capturing the day with her photography — the photos truly show the warmth and spirit of our community. Also to Sandy Christiansen for being MC, and guest speaker.
Finally, a very big thank you to COTA for the grant that made it possible for TADCA to provide a free morning tea and lunch for everyone.
And of course, thank you to all who attended — your smiles and support made the day such a success. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
