TADCA’s Easter Fair on 3rd April, 2026
The Annual Toogoom Easter Fair once again proved to be a highlight on the community calendar, drawing a crowd of over 300 people for a day filled with fun, creativity and connection. Blessed with great participation and an enthusiastic atmosphere, this year’s event has been described as one of the most successful yet.
Children were at the heart of the celebration, eagerly taking part in a range of activities organised by the tireless craft volunteers. From the ever-popular hat making to the colouring competition, the creativity and effort on display were truly impressive. These activities built excitement throughout the day and culminated in the much-anticipated Annual Easter Hat Parade. The parade showcased a wonderful array of imaginative designs, with children proudly displaying their handmade creations to the delight of the crowd.
The Toogoom & District Community Association (TADCA) extends sincere thanks to John Barounis, Michelle Govers and Tim McMahon for their support and involvement in judging the competitions. Their contribution added to the sense of occasion and community spirit that defines the fair.
TADCA also thank all our market stall holders for their support .
And Of Course Easter Bunny for his attendance at our fair.
Thanks also to the Toogoom Rural Fire Service “Bunny Training Camp,” which was a huge hit with the children. The activity course was overrun with eager participants who enthusiastically tackled a variety of fun and engaging challenges. The opportunity to handle the fire engine hoses proved especially popular, with excited children spraying so much water that the truck needed to be refilled twice—using over 3000 litres in total! This hands-on experience created unforgettable memories and plenty of laughter.
TADCA would also like to thank all the volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make the day possible. From setting up and packing down to assisting in the canteen, their efforts ensured the smooth running of the event. Appreciation also goes to eve-ryone who supported the raffles and the ever-popular prawn wheel, helping to raise valuable funds for the community.
